Lethbridge man charged in alleged McDonalds sex assault of boy
6-year-old allegedly sexually assaulted while playing in McDonalds children's play area
A 39-year-old Lethbridge man has been charged in the alleged sexual assault of a six-year-old boy at a local McDonalds.
According to Lethbridge police, the incident took place May 25 in the children's play area of the McDonalds in the 200 block of Third Avenue South.
They say the boy was approached by the man and touched inappropriately.
The accused is charged with one count each of sexual assault and sexual interference.
He has been released from custody but is prohibited from being within 100 metres of any public park, swimming area, day care, school or other area where children are known to frequent.
He is also prohibited from being employed or volunteering in any capacity where he would be in a position of trust or authority over any child under the age of 16.
He will appear in court on June 11.
