Lethbridge man, 83, charged in sex assaults from 1970s
Four alleged victims worked for the accused at a funeral home
An 83-year-old Lethbridge man has been charged in connection to alleged sexual assaults on four teenage boys three decades ago.
The male victims range in age from 12 to 15. They all worked for the accused at a funeral home in the southern Alberta city from 1977 to 1986.
The allegations came to light in August when one of the men contacted police. The other victims were identified during the investigation.
The elderly man has been charged with four counts of indecent assault on a male and one count of sexual assault. He is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 8.
