The Calgary Zoo says one of its keepers was slightly injured Friday morning in an incident, but won't confirm if an animal was involved.

Zoo won't confirm if animal is responsible

The Calgary Zoo says one of its keepers suffered an injury in an incident on Friday morning.

The zoo would not confirm if an animal was involved nor the extent of the injury to the employee.

"A keeper was injured during the normal course of their duties and is receiving medical treatment," said the zoo's Laurie Skene.

"At no time were any animals outside their enclosure and the keeper was not in the enclosure," she added.

Skene says the injury is not serious and the zoo will review the incident.
