Judicial review into controversial Guzoo dropped
Sustainable Resources Development postponed review late last year
The Alberta government quietly dropped a judicial review of the controversial Guzoo north of Calgary.
The province announced it was going to decommission Guzoo back in the summer of 2011.
Late last week, a short statement was posted on Alberta's Environment and Sustainable Resources Development website stating the judicial review of the decommissioning has been terminated.
The province announced it was indefinitely postponing a judicial review of the private zoo last year.
Guzoo has been issued a permit to operate under the Wildlife Act and must follow Alberta Zoo Standards.
Guzoo is near Three Hills, Alta.
