Calgary police have released the name of a man who was killed Monday night in northwest Calgary. 

John MacIver, 38, was stabbed to death.

He was found in a parking lot behind an apartment building on Bowness Road.

A 17-year-old boy is charged with second-degree murder and will appear in court on Friday.
