Infant injured after car smashes into N.E. house
Flying glass hit 10-month-old, who was taken to hospital in stable condition
An infant is in hospital after a car smashed into a northeast Calgary home early Saturday morning.
Police say the car drove into a home in the 100 block of Taralea Circle N.E. just after 3 a.m. MT.
Flying glass hit the 10-month-old, who was taken to the Alberta Children's Hospital in stable condition.
Residents of the home were forced out but the eight people have since been allowed to return.
The collision also ruptured a gas line at the residence.
ATCO crews are working to repair the gas line but it's not yet clear how much structural damage was done to the home.
Police say the driver took off but they managed to track down the registered owner nearby and he is being questioned.
