Two brothers are facing a multitude of charges in connection to an alleged illegal bookmaking operation in southern Alberta.
The charges follow a 21-month investigation by Calgary police, RCMP and the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission.
The men amassed hundreds of thousands of dollars through illegal gambling and drugs, investigators allege.
In one 40-day period alone the pair made $65,000 on hockey and football bets, police said.
Police also seized 4.5 kilograms of marijuana from the brothers with a street value of more than $45,000.
A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a third man from Vernon, B.C., who is believed to be an associate of the brothers.
