Icy, snowy road conditions could make for a dangerous morning commute, police are warning Calgary drivers.

There have been more than 180 collisions over the last 24 hours, with 16 causing injury, said Duty Insp. Michael Watterston.

“It’s a little bit unique in the sense that we’ve had some nice warm weather, and we’ve got ice underneath that freshly laid snow,” he said.

“We’re just reminding motorists to take their time, be patient, plan your route.”
