A Calgary man who is HIV positive is facing more charges of aggravated sexual assault.

Two women from Lethbridge in southern Alberta have come forward with allegations he had unprotected sex with them and did not disclose his condition.

The incidents allegedly occurred between March and July 2012.

Six Alberta women previously laid similar complaints — four from Calgary, one from Airdrie and one from Innisfail.

Staff Sgt. Ian Sanderson of the Lethbridge police says the man met these women through social media sites.

"So we invite anybody that's out there that would have any information in support of the allegations already on the record or if there's any further investigations that need to be done, to contact their local police who will co-ordinate things with Calgary police," he said.

John Joseph McNamara, 41, was in court today facing eight charges of aggravated sexual assault.

His case was adjourned until Oct. 7.
