Happy Planet protein smoothie recalled due to nuts

Happy Planet chocolate banana protein smoothies sold across Canada have been recalled by the B.C.-based company due to cashew nuts present but not listed in the ingredients.

Happy Planet chocolate banana protein smoothies sold across Canada have been recalled by the B.C.-based company due to cashew nuts present but not listed in the ingredients. 

"People with an allergy to cashew should not consume the recalled product described below," the Canadian Food Inspection Agency said in a release Friday.

The product is sold in a 900 ml container with the product code SWANN 2016AL27 and UPC of 7 79172 22328 8.

The agency said it's following up to ensure the product is removed from retail shelves.
