Calgary police are turning to the public for information after a man was fatally stabbed in the city's southwest this week.
The victim, identified as 37-year-old Valeri Lomakine of Calgary, was found stabbed to death in the Manchester industrial area on Wednesday morning.
Police were called to the 5700 block of Second Street S.W. at 10 a.m. to check on a man's welfare.
In a release, the Calgary Police Service said when officers arrived they found Lomakine suffering from stab wounds. He was declared dead at the scene
The CPS Homicide Unit continues to investigate.
