Early-morning stabbing in Riverbend not random, police believe
Man dropped off at hospital in critical condition has undergone surgery
A stabbing that left a man in his 20s critically injured was probably not a random incident, police say.
At around 3:30 a.m. MT the man was dropped off at a hospital suffering from multiple stab wounds to his stomach, legs and arms, police said.
He remains heavily sedated after undergoing surgery and hasn’t yet been interviewed by investigators, police said.
Police believe the man was injured at a house in the 700 block of Riverbend Drive S.E. and that his associates took him to the hospital but left immediately.
One man has since been taken into custody but his role in the incident remains unclear, police said.
