Dan Meades will be the NDP candidate in the upcoming byelection in Calgary Centre.

Meades is the executive director of Vibrant Communities Calgary, a group seeking out long term solutions to poverty in the city.

Meades joins Liberal Harvey Locke, Green Candidate Chris Turner and Conservative Joan Crockatt as the main challengers for the seat.

The byelection will be held Nov. 26.
