Charges are pending against a 44-year-old Calgary man after police received reports of a wild driver in Okotoks on Thursday.

RCMP in Okotoks received multiple calls about an erratic driver in the town and then got a call reporting the car had been driven into the side of a convenience store in Aldersyde.

Police  tracked the car to a nearby area where they found several other vehicles that had been damaged.

RCMP say the suspect got out of one vehicle and then used force as well as a weapon to steal a vehicle from a woman.

She and a police officer received non-life threatening injuries while the man fled.

He was later located and charges are pending.
