City officials ordered people out of the lower levels of a downtown highrise after calling part of the building unsafe.

A cease occupancy order was issued for the main floor business tenants as well as the first three parkade levels at Rocky Mountain Court on the 200 block of Sixth Avenue S.E. on Wednesday.

Officials made the move after an inspection of the second level of the parkade found its integrity was compromised during renovations.

No safety issues were found on the higher floors, which are residential, officials said in a written release.

The adjacent building Rocky Mountain Plaza is not affected by the order, the city said.
