Police and bylaw officers are looking for the person who defaced Calgary's newest war memorial.
The head of bylaw services said someone spray-painted graffiti along the riverside wall of Poppy Plaza — just west of the Louise Bridge.
Bill Bruce is asking anyone with information to call 311.
"Hopefully we'll charge the person who did this damage to that display," he said. "I think it’s incredibly disrespectful."
Bruce said the damage will be repaired on the weekend.
Graffiti carries a maximum fine of $5,000.
