A man in his 40s is recovering in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after being shot at a southeast Calgary bar.

Police say it happened at a karaoke bar at the 4800 block of Macleod Trail around 1:30 a.m. MT this morning.

Duty Insp. Paul Stacey says investigators don’t know much about what happened yet.

"The early indicators are there may have been some kind of disturbance earlier in the bar, that's a piece that we are looking into as being a possible motivator for this.… We don't think that the person that was shot was the intended target," Stacey said.

Police are still looking for suspects.
