A Calgary man is facing child pornography charges after an investigation involving a Facebook account.

Police allege a man used his Facebook account and email to upload and share the images over a six-month period.

The social media site started receiving complaints about the content and the investigation was turned over to the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team's Internet Child Exploitation unit.

Last Wednesday, officers searched a home and a business and seized several computers and other devices.

Clement John Murray, 58, is set to appear in court Thursday on charges of accessing, possessing and distributing child pornography.
