It had to come to an end sometime.

After weeks of balmy weather in Calgary, freezing rain overnight has made a mess of Calgary roads.

Between 8 p.m. MT Sunday and 9 a.m. today, there were six injury and 33 non-injury collisions. And police say it's likely that number could continue to rise.

The city says its crews have been out overnight putting down material, but that the roads are still likely to be slippery. And don't run for the train, Calgary Transit says.
