Many of us harbour the dream of sailing away from our day-to-day life and a leisurely cruise in the Caribbean sounds just right.

One Bragg Creek nurse will be going sailing — but that's where the similarities end. She's doing it on a Spartan racing clipper.

Motivated by the life-affirming chemotherapy patients she works with every day at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, she hopes to raise money for clinical trials at the centre.
