A 13-year-old boy accused of sexually assaulting three young children at his Calgary foster home made a brief court appearance via closed circuit television Monday morning.

The boy, who cannot be named, is charged with three counts of sexual assault and three counts of sexual interference.

Police were called to a southwest home last week after a third party said they had witnessed an assault.

The alleged victims are aged six, four and two.

At Monday's hearing the conditions of the boy's detention were reviewed, which include that he be supervised at all times and sleep in a separate room at the youth detention centre.

He will be back in court on Wednesday.
