Calgary artist Mandy Stobo is painting tree grates along Stephen Avenue in downtown Calgary with the faces of famous and influential Calgarians.

This walk of fame "grate portrait" project was commissioned by the Calgary Downtown Association.

Mandy Stobo has gained international recognition online through social media for her whimsical watercolour paintings — Bad Portraits.

When the grate project is complete, Stephen Avenue will be home to 55 grate portraits.
