Police in Airdrie suspect an early morning restaurant fire on the weekend was caused by arson.

The blaze at the Highway 2 Bar and Grill early Sunday morning caused an estimated $200,000 in damage, RCMP said.

The fire was lit from several locations inside the restaurant, a fire investigator concluded.

The business was closed at the time and there were no injuries.
