Red Deer man arrested after Canada-wide warrant
Alexander Michael Talbot was wanted in connection with death of Dawson Cramer
Police have arrested a Red Deer, Alta., man charged with manslaughter and vehicle theft after issuing a Canada-wide warrant early Friday, RCMP said in a release.
RCMP Major Crimes Units have taken Alexander Michael Talbot, 24, into custody.
Talbot was wanted in connection with the death of Dawson Wegner Cramer.
Cramer, 23, had attempted to stop two suspects from stealing his truck early on March 16.
Police found Cramer seriously injured in an alley behind Nordegg Crescent in Red Deer.
He was rushed to hospital where he later died. A Calgary medical examiner determined he died of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
Police issued the warrant for Talbot just before 1 p.m. Friday.
Talbot was located and arrested hours later without incident and is now in custody pending a release hearing.
RCMP have charged the second suspect they were looking for, Amanda Jo-Lynn Larsen, 27, with possession of stolen property related to the incident. She remains in custody until her scheduled court date of March 29.
