Two girls abducted by their mother in southern Alberta Monday have been found safe.
B.C. RCMP confirmed the girls and their 48-year-old mother were located in Boston Bar, about three hours northeast of Vancouver, on Wednesday evening.
The mother has been arrested in connection with two counts of abduction and investigators are working with the department of Children and Family Development in respect to the children's care.
RCMP will also continue to work with major crime investigators in southern Alberta on the case.
Officials thanked the public and media for their assistance and said the three were located as a direct result of public support and the Amber Alert system.
