Calgary police were kept busy Sunday night investigating multiple stabbings in the southwest.

Police believe the first incident happened at Westbrook Mall just before 7 p.m. MT.

A man was stabbed in the arm by two strangers who fled the scene when police were called. He was treated for non-life-threatening stab wounds.

More than an hour later, a second stabbing victim walked into the District 2 police station on 17th Avenue at 45th Street southwest.

Both of those stabbings are believed to have happened near the LRT line, say police.

Then around 9 p.m., police responded to a third stabbing in a basement suite in the 2400 block of 17th Avenue southwest.

The male victim was taken to Foothills hospital in critical, life-threatening condition.

Police believe the stabbings are related, but they're still investigating.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Calgary police or Crime Stoppers.
