RCMP have charged three people with murder in connection to the death of a 35-year-old man on the Morley reserve on New Year's Day.
An autopsy performed on Wednesday determined that the man died of stab wounds.
Police responded to a call around 3 a.m. about a disturbance at home, where they found the dead man. His name is not being released at the request of the family.
Ameria Kadre Holloway, 37, Andrew Leigh Pooreagle, 24, and Patrick Striker Holloway, 22, have all been charged with second-degree murder. Patrick Holloway was also charged with assault.
RCMP spokesman Sgt. Patrick Webb said the three accused and the deceased man knew each other.
"Alcohol was involved," Webb said, adding that there was "no indication of any gang involvement in this homicide."
