The second victim of a violent northeast Calgary attack that killed one person is now listed as being in serious condition at hospital, police say.

The attack took place Friday evening in the community of Huntington Hills. Police responded to the area after receiving a call about a fight between a man and four others.

Officials say at least two people are in custody following a search of the area near Hunterhorn Drive N.E.

Residents in the area also said they heard gunshots earlier in the evening.

Hunterhorn Gate and Hunterhorn Crescent N.E. were closed to traffic for the investigation.
