Police have made a second arrest in connection with a homicide that took place two years ago in Calgary.

Gatleak Thor Metkurjock, 20, was injured in January 2012 at a house party near 21st Avenue and 16th Street S.W. and died the next day.

The cause of death was later found to be blunt force trauma.

Anthony Ambrose Brothers, 21, was arrested Thursday by RCMP officers in Gleichen, about 90 kilometres east of Calgary.

He will be transported to Calgary for a court hearing.

Earlier this week Calgary police arrested a 19-year-old man and charged him with second-degree murder. He was a minor at the time of the incident and cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Metkurjock had escaped the war in Sudan and spent eight years in a refugee camp before coming to Canada. He was studying English and wanted to become an engineer.
