Calgary police are investigating after two violent home invasions overnight.

Officials received a frantic 911 call from a home on Coral Springs Boulevard N.E. at about 4 a.m. Thursday morning, police said.

Offenders had forced their way into the residence, injuring one person during the invasion.

The suspects fled in a small dark vehicle.

A short time later police were called to a second home invasion in Dover in the 3200 block of 30a Avenue southeast.

Two offenders stormed into the house, injuring a resident before leaving the scene, police said.

The incidents happened just 20 minutes apart, but police said it’s not clear the cases are related.
