Two men have been charged after an early morning shooting saw a southeast Calgary home hit by gunfire.

At roughly 6:00 a.m. MT Sunday, police were called to the 4300 block of Doverwood Place S.E. in response to possible gunshots being fired.

On arrival, police found a bullet hole through the back door and front facade of the residence.

Two males believed to be related to the shooting were taken into custody near the scene.

A sawed off shotgun was also recovered.

The occupants of the home were not injured, but police say they believe it was a targeted attack.

A 21-year-old and 20-year-old now face multiple charges including careless use of a firearm, possession of prohibited firearm with ammunition and possession of a firearm without being a holder of a license.
