2 Banff RCMP officers face charges, suspended from duty
Constables accused of being unlawfully in a dwelling and obstructing justice
Two Banff RCMP officers have been suspended from duty while they face criminal charges.
The two constables are accused of unlawfully being in a dwelling and one count of obstructing justice, RCMP said in a release.
The charges come after an RCMP investigation into an on-duty incident in June 2013.
The officers are scheduled to appear in Canmore provincial court on August 13.
An internal RCMP code of conduct investigation will be conducted after the court process is completed, officials said.
