The 26-year-old man, who just arrived on a flight from Frankfurt, was sent for a second examination by Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers on Saturday, officials said in a release.

Officers found a false bottom in the man’s suitcase concealing the suspected narcotics.

The man was arrested and charged with two counts under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

He will appear in Calgary provincial court on May 30.

So far this year border officers have made 60 drug seizures at the airport, according to the CBSA.

This is second heroin seizure in Calgary this year.

In 2013, the CBSA seized almost 20 kilograms of heroin at the airport.
