Grade 11 student Juliano Vieira died after being stabbed in Braeside
An 18-year-old man has been charged in connection with a fatal stabbing at a southwest Calgary house party over the weekend.
Two teenage boys were found with stab wounds outside a home in the 11400 block of Braniff Green S.W. in Braeside just after midnight on Saturday morning.
Juliano Vieira, a Grade 11 student at Henry Wisewood High School, died of his wounds on the way to hospital.
The other victim was treated for minor wounds.
Roland Smith of Calgary was arrested Saturday and charged with second-degree murder and attempted murder.
Police arrested a second suspect — a 19-year-old man — on Sunday. Charges are pending against him.
Investigators interviewed over 80 people while the crime scene was processed and searched, police said.
Police are asking for anyone with information about the incident to call police or Crime Stoppers.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
