A 35-year-old man is dead after a single-vehicle crash on Deerfoot Trail in Calgary.
It happened just before 7:30 p.m. MT Thursday after the man drove his car off the road north of 32nd Avenue northeast.
The black Saab kept going south in the centre median and struck a metal pole.
The southbound lanes of Deerfoot between 32nd Avenue and McKnight Boulevard were temporarily closed, while one lane going northbound was closed as of 9 p.m.
At least 12 emergency vehicles responded.
At this point, police can't say if alcohol was a factor and are still looking for witnesses.
