Passengers flying out of Vancouver International Airport today should bring their patience along with their luggage, after a technical issue affected the computerized check-in system.

The issue has been resolved, but the airport is still playing catch up, and passengers flying this afternoon should expect line ups and possible delays.

Flight delays of between 20 and 40 minutes were being recorded as of 12.15 pm PT.

Cathay Pacific, Delta and Japan airlines were not affected.

Things are expected to be back to normal by this evening.

The issue — which was not related to last night's windstorm —forced airlines to check passengers in manually.

Travellers are asked to check for updates at yvr.ca and on Twitter at @yvrairport.
