YVR airport Canada Line station reopened after gas leak

The CanadaLine station at Vancouver International Airport has been reopened after a gas leak forced TransLink to shut down service between Bridgeport Station and the airport.

Service was suspended on Canada Line between Bridgeport Station and Vancouver International terminal

The gas leak was reported at North Service Road and Aviation Avenue. Officials say there is no danger to the public and YVR operations continue as normal. (CBC)

The Canada Line station at Vancouver International Airport has been reopened after a gas leak forced TransLink to shut down service between Bridgeport Station and the airport.

The leak was caused by construction at North Service Road and Aviation Avenue. First responders were on scene, and have now handed over to Fortis BC.

Officials say there is no danger to the public, but gas in the area is expected to be shut off for about four hours.

YVR officials say airport operations continue as normal.
