World Juniors coming to Vancouver and Victoria in 2019
Second go-around for Vancouver, which previously hosted tournament in 2006
The men's World Junior Hockey championship is coming back to B.C. in 2019 with games to be played in both Vancouver and Victoria.
Hockey Canada president and CEO Tom Renney is scheduled to officially make the announcement at a 1:00 p.m. PT press conference at Rogers Arena.
Vancouver previously hosted the World Juniors in 2006, with some games played in Kamloops and Kelowna.
Montreal and Toronto are co-hosting this year's tournament, which begins — as is tradition — on Boxing Day.
Canada has hosted the International Ice Hockey Federation World Juniors 11 times.
