Ferries cancelled between Tsawwassen and Swartz Bay

B.C. Ferries has cancelled several sailings between Tsawwassen and Swartz Bay this weekend because one of its ferries is out of commission after it was damaged in a windstorm last week.

BC Ferries has cancelled five sailings between Tsawwassen and Swartz Bay this weekend because one of its ferries was damaged in the windstorm last week.

The Spirit of Vancouver Island ferry is to be replaced by the Coastal Celebration until March 16th, BC Ferries said in a statement. The vessel was damaged during a windy docking at Tsawwassen Thursday morning, the statement said. 

One of the cancelled crossings was the Saturday 8 a.m. sailing from Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen.

The four other cancellations are on Sunday, include the 2 p.m. sailing from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay, the 6 p.m. sailing in the same direction, as well as the noon and 4 p.m. sailings from Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen.
