Whistler Blackcomb to open this Saturday as snow levels drop 2:33

Skiers and snowboarders can celebrate, as Whistler Blackcomb opens 13 days early and snow levels and temperatures are forecast to drop, says CBC meteorologist Johanna Wagstaffe.

Precipitation will fall as snow on the mountains, as temperatures start to cool down and showers return. In the meantime, get ready for a couple of days' break from the rain, with another mild afternoon Wednesday.

Mild temperatures returned Tuesday with the morning rain, and a few daily high-temperature records were broken, including in West Vancouver with almost 17 C.

Lingering showers will remain for Vancouver Tuesday night but, by Wednesday morning, look for sunny breaks that will continue through Thursday.
