A major storm system landed on the South Coast Wednesday night, bringing strong winds and heavy rain.

Winds will continue to wrap in behind the low-pressure system for more strong gusts through Thursday morning.

Parts of Metro Vancouver could see wind gusts exceed 80 km/h this morning. That will come with lingering showers but winds are definitely the big story.

Continued isolated power outages are not out of the question.

As we head into Thursday afternoon, winds will begin to die down but it will remain breezy all day.

Conditions will dry out through the day as well with afternoon highs around 11 C.

The storm will move in for Friday with another this weekend. Hold onto the hope of a much drier weather pattern this time next week!
