Skies are clearing out through Friday to kick off a decent long weekend forecast.

We will start the day though with overcast skies, but as a high pressure ridge builds in, conditions should clear through the day.

Chilly morning temperatures of just 4 C will warm back up to an 11 C by the afternoon.

Mixed (basket) for the weekend

An area of low pressure will attempt to swing in for Saturday. Most of the rain will stay off on Vancouver Island and we should just get clipped with a few more clouds for Saturday.

There's no avoiding the rain on Sunday though. Heavy rain will fall through the morning hours as a Pacific front pushed inland. But we could see some late day clearing.

Great long-range forecast

High pressure is back for the Monday. And we get to keep it all week! That means sunny skies and warming temperatures. By the end of next week we could be flirting with the high teens.
