Wagstaffe's Weather: Rainy and warm forecast for Vancouver

A couple of Pacific systems will bring rounds of warm rain to Vancouver this week.

Steady rain will continue to fall through Tuesday morning for the South Coast thanks to a Pacific frontal system moving inland.

Rainfall totals will be between 10 to 30 millimetres with higher amounts for the North Shore.

The front will slide through Metro Vancouver around noon, and conditions will dry out for the afternoon from west to east across the Lower Mainland. Don't get too use to the break though — showers will return Tuesday evening.

Wind will be gusty and will shift from the southeast to the west as the front passes.

Temperatures will remain mild through Tuesday as well — up to 9 C for Vancouver.

An even warmer system will move in for Wednesday and Thursday.

Snow levels will be up around 2,000 meters, so it's a rain story unfortunately for the local mountains.
