Wagstaffe's Weather: More rain before a Friday afternoon break

Look for a wash-out start to Friday, before one of the only breaks in the long range forecast moves in for the afternoon.

After a very wet Friday morning, the South Coast will once again sit between two systems for a bit of a break.

The morning front will bring rounds of heavy rain to Metro Vancouver, for totals between 30 and 50 millimetres by the time the rain eases to showers for the afternoon.

Vancouver may even get a few breaks in the clouds through Friday afternoon, but showers are back for the evening. Afternoon highs will be up around 12 C.

The 'drier' weather will continue through to Saturday morning, but by Saturday afternoon a stronger Pacific system will begin to bring in the rain and winds.

The South Coast will get into an atmospheric river set-up for the second half of the weekend with heavy rain, strong winds and warm temperatures. An all-round perfect Valentine's Day.
