Wagstaffe's Weather: A showery Thursday before a break

A wet, westerly flow will keep the showers moving across Metro Vancouver for much of Thursday before the sun returns for Friday.

Blue skies are just around the corner

We're almost there! A showery Thursday and another system on Saturday - but lots of sun in this forecast otherwise. (Johanna Wagstaffe/CBC)

After a wet, cold and all-round miserable Wednesday in the weather department — Thursday will be at least somewhat better.

Showers will continue through much of the day, but won't be steady rain. Temperatures will be slightly warmer as well, at around 10 C for Vancouver this afternoon.

Showers will start to taper off Thursday evening, and we may even catch a break in the clouds.

High pressure will clear it all out for Friday. Much deserved at that point!

It's a mixed bag on Saturday, but it should stay mainly dry before a one-day rain-maker moves in for Sunday.

The forecast will be sunny and mild, starting on Easter Monday.
