A violent repeat offender who has a history of manslaughter, sexual assault and robbery in B.C. will soon be back on the streets.

Danny Perrault, who committed his crimes in the Lower Mainland in the late 1980s and early 1990s, is scheduled to be released Oct. 22.

Perrault is considered a moderate to high risk to re-offend.

As the CBC’s Tim Weekes reports, there is little that can be done to keep the man behind bars.
