Vancouver Whitecaps coach Martin Rennie is defending his team and the job he did this year, saying that despite finishing out of the playoffs the 'Caps have never been a more exciting team to watch.

The team was eliminated from playoff contention last Saturday, a step backwards in the evolution of the third-year MLS team.
