The most expensive parking is near the Vancouver Convention Centre. It's $6 an hour near Cordova and Burrard streets. It's $7 an hour at the nearby EasyPark lot.

But the map shows all you need to do is drive two blocks west to find parking at half the price and four blocks east to find the cheapest parking downtown — $1 an hour on Powell and Cordova streets.

The city explains the differences block-to-block as supply and demand. If meters are packed, then they put the prices up. If spaces are empty, then prices go down.
