UBC's Museum of Anthropology flooded by burst water main
Staff say damaged limited to lobby of the building. No collections or artifacts damaged.
A burst water main that flooded UBC's Museum of Anthropology has been plugged, and staff say damage has been limited to the lobby of the building.
Water flooded into the building for about 15 minutes after the water main burst on Marine Drive on Wednesday afternoon.
Staff said most of the water that made it inside the building was contained to the lobby, and so far, it does not appear that any artifacts were damaged.
Fire crews and crews from UBC plant operations are working to remove the water now.
