Trevor Porter charged in alleged B.C. murder-for-hire plot
Trevor Charles Porter, 43, arrested for alleged attempted hit on Langord, B.C. resident
RCMP on Vancouver Island say Trevor Charles Porter was arrested last Friday after he allegedly attempted to hire a Sooke, B.C., resident to murder a Langford man.
The incident was first reported to RCMP Thursday last week.
Porter, 43, was arrested the following day. Sooke RCMP says officers obtained a warrant, searched Porter's home and found an unregistered handgun.
Porter has since been released on $25,000 bail and charged with 'counselling to commit an indictable offence' and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
He is to appear in court on February 27.
